Job Description

VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a leading organisation in the public sector who are recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team on an initial interim contract for 15 months to then potentially be extended. This role can offer an experienced finance professional the chance to build their career within the public sector.

30k-32k SALARY

The Ideal Person

If you have experience working in Finance or Accounting role:

  • HNC in a relevant subject or 5 GCSES A-C
  • Experience processing journals and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of computerised accounts packages
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Qualified Accounting Technician (Desirable)

Responsibilities

As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing management reports and analysis
  • Purchase ledger management
  • Processing journals and records
  • Implementing finance systems
  • Budgeting
