VANRATH are delighted to be working with a well-established, locally owned business in the Banbridge area to recruit an Accounting Technician to join their close-knit finance team. What you'll do
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
- Process purchase and sales ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform bank and supplier reconciliations
- Assist with month-end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Support preparation of management accounts
- Process expenses and assist with payroll administration (if required)
- Maintain accurate financial records within the ERP/accounting system
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
- Assist with VAT returns and audit preparation
- Provide general support across the finance function as required
About you
- Previous experience in an Accounting Technician / Accounts Assistant role
- IATI qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Positive, proactive and adaptable approach
