A leading Charity is currently recruiting an Accounting Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employer with an excellent reputation in the local market and who provide an essential service across Northern Ireland.

The Ideal Person

  • Qualified Accounting Technician (or Equivalent) plus at least three year's relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on at least one ERP implementation
  • Excellent computer skills (databases and spreadsheets)
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage

own multiple workloads

Responsibilities

The accounting technician will be a member of a small team who will assist with preparations for the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which includes finance, expenses, procurement, payroll & human resource modules. This will include data cleansing & data migration, including data transposition.

  • Assist with data cleansing of all relevant data on current systems
  • Assisting with data migration preparations across relevant modules
  • Working closely with the business and system vendors, assist with preparations for user acceptance testing, identifying and resolving issues
  • Assist with reconciliation activities between legacy and new ERP systems
  • Working closely with relevant managers and system vendors, assist with business process re-definition to ensure that the new systems and agreed business processes merge as seamlessly and as efficiently as possible
  • Assist with the drafting of training materials which are tailored to a combination of the system functionality and agreed business processes
  • Assist with cutover preparations
  • Assist with go-live
  • Assist with post-go live support provision
