Accounting Analyst

Are you an experienced Accounting Analyst looking for a new challenge? VANRATH is excited to be working with a growing company in Armagh, which is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their team. This role is key to handling customer queries and ensuring the timely completion of invoices. The Accounting Analyst will also maintain ledgers and implement necessary systems and processes.

This role would suit an experienced Accounts Assistant with exceptional data and excel skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee sales and purchase ledgers
• Verify invoices for accuracy and handle disputes with carriers
• Analyse data for reconciliations and process improvements
• Approve and email weekly invoices after reconciliation
• Resolve customer queries and disputes
• Perform supplier reconciliations in SAGE
• Maintain and update system rate cards for accurate billing
• Assist with annual system updates and communicate tariff changes
• Ensure timely and accurate addition of new charges to the billing system
• Identify and implement efficiency-enhancing processes

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Effective planning and organisational abilities, with a knack for meeting tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills for process improvement
