The team are seeking a skilled Tax Manager and General Accountant with extensive experience in accounts preparation to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealing with limited companies, sole traders, and high net worth individuals.
What you'll do:

  • Manage and oversee tax compliance and planning for clients, including corporation tax, personal tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters, offering strategic advice to minimise tax liabilities and maximise financial efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address accounting queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of annual accounts and tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and high net worth individuals.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, supporting colleagues and promoting teamwork.

What you will have:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong background in tax management and accounting.
  • Proven experience in accounts preparation within a busy accounting practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax legislation and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax rules.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
  • A commitment to professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
