Client

A well-known public sector employer based in Belfast city are recruiting through VANRATH for a Staff Officer Accountant, initially on a 6 month interim basis. This is an urgent role for the business and can offer the opportunity for an immediate start for the right candidate. This is an ideal role for candidates with previous charity/public sector experience, however it is not essential as full training will be provided.

The Ideal Person

If you've 1+ years' experience working in a similar level role and are comfortable with the month end accounting process;

• Fully Qualified Accountant
• Strong reporting skills
• Ability to work productively and flexibly while meeting deadlines
• Strong work ethic and comfortable in a deadline driven industry

Responsibilities

As a Staff Officer Accountant you will:

• Prepare month end management accounts
• Produce high quality deliverables including working papers
• Budget and forecasting
• Variance analysis
• Cashflow forecasting
