VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a DP Accountant to join a recognisable public body based in Belfast. This position is being recruited on a temporary basis for an initial period of 6 months and can offer the successful candidate an opportunity to secure a longer-term position.

Reporting to the Grade 7, the DP Accountant will be responsible for the provision of high quality, reliable, accurate and timely financial information to internal and external departments. Public sector experience is not essential in order to be considered for this role.

**Please note, this opportunity can consider a 4 day working week**

This is an urgent post for the organisation and can offer the opportunity for an immediate start.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience of both financial & management accounts
• Strong interpersonal skills to guide the wider finance team
• IT literate including MS Excel
• Available to start at short notice

What you'll do

• Produce management reports and variance analysis
• Month end reconciliations
• Financial accounting, preparing year end accounts
• Prepare budgets and scenario planning
• Mentor small finance team
