It is a great time to join as they have recently secured a new acquisition and now require an Accountant to join the team. This is a brand-new position for the business and will offer the incoming the candidate an opportunity to make an immediate impact in moving the business forward.

The Accountant will take full responsibility for the finances of the acquisition, including financial & management accounts, PAYE, VAT returns and all associated tasks. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual who is keen to take on a challenging role, within a group who can offer significant opportunities for progression.

Candidates making their first move from practice will be considered, along with individuals with proven industry experience.

About you

If you are a Qualified Accountant:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Experience of management and financial accounting skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to work in a deadline driven environment

What you'll do

  • Complete monthly management accounts, including nominals, journals, prepayments & accruals
  • Assist in year-end preparation
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
  • Overseeing the purchase & sales ledgers
  • Cash flow forecasting
