VANRATH are partnered with a large public sector employer based in Belfast, who require an Accountant to join their team for a period of 6 months. This is an opportunity to gain sought after experience within a desirable sector of the industry. The Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and will assume responsibility for the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, alongside being a point of contact for the organisation's client base.

To be considered for the Accountant post, it is essential to have experience in a similar role, alongside strong communication skills with an ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders at all levels. Interviewing immediately and this opportunity is being offered on a hybrid working model which is set as 3 days in office, 2 days work from home.

About you

  • Part-Qualified/Qualified Accountant (Minimum of foundation level completed)
  • Strong communication skills with experience of working with internal/external stakeholders
  • High levels of organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within monthly management accounts
  • Budgeting experience

What you'll do

  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, monthly board report
  • Budgetary control, assisting with the annual budget setting process for customer
  • Income & Expenditure reporting
  • Assist in the provision of management accounting information for the final accounts
  • Business partner with business managers to understand budgetary position
