VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a large public sector employer based in County Antirm who currently require an Accountant to join their team for a minimum period of 6 months. This is an opportunity to join a large, complex organisation who are renowned for providing opportunities of internal development.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of business cases to provide evidence and guidance for numerous new projects the business are considering. This role is ideal for a individual with a commercial mindset, and who enjoys interacting with numerous stakeholders, including non-finance individuals.

This is an urgent role for the organisation and there is an opportunity for an immediate start, for the right candidate.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel
• Excellent communicator with an ability to present to senior management
• Confidence to seek out information for clarity

What you'll do

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Attend senior management meetings to discuss future projects, and their financial validity
• Prepare business cases and present to wider business
• Support wider finance team in month and year end, when required
