Business Development & Account Manager - Northern Ireland & UK

We are partnering with an innovative, growth-oriented organisation that provides technical and project-led solutions across Northern Ireland and the UK. As the business continues to expand, we are looking for a commercially minded Business Development & Account Manager to drive new opportunities and nurture long-term client relationships.

This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships, spotting growth opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for both generating new business and expanding existing accounts. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and strengthening the company's market presence across multiple regions. This is a client-facing role with regular travel and requires a structured, target-driven approach to managing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Northern Ireland and the wider UK

  • Manage, develop, and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts

  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with clients to deliver value-focused solutions

  • Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions, and client briefings

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover potential opportunities

  • Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline reporting, and activity updates via CRM

  • Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to deliver bespoke solutions

  • Support the continuous improvement of sales strategies and client engagement processes

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management

  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to maintain long-term partnerships

  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation abilities

  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing a regional territory

  • Proficient in CRM software and standard business tools

  • Willing to travel across Northern Ireland and the UK

  • Full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in a technical, industrial, or project-led environment

  • Exposure to working alongside engineering or operational teams

  • Familiarity with consultative or solution-based sales methods
