The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established, independent insurance group with over four decades of experience in the market. The business has grown significantly in recent years through acquisition and organic expansion, doubling in size and strengthening its presence across the commercial insurance sector.
This is a key hire within their Commercial Insurance division, supporting continued growth and portfolio development. The role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing team within a business that actively invests in professional development and long-term career progression.
They are seeking an experienced Account Executive to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
The Role:
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced commercial or corporate Account Executive who enjoys managing client relationships and delivering high-quality service, while identifying opportunities for account growth.
You will work closely with internal broking, claims, and specialist teams to ensure clients receive comprehensive and compliant insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and retain an existing portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Build strong, long-term relationships across a range of industry sectors
- Provide tailored advice across multiple commercial classes of insurance
- Handle mid-term adjustments, renewals, and client queries efficiently and professionally
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and policy documentation in line with FCA regulations
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling within the portfolio
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience
- Contribute to team and wider business growth objectives
The Ideal Candidate
- 5 years' commercial insurance experience in a client facing role.
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial or corporate insurance.
- Experience managing and retaining commercial client accounts.
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Acturis experience (desirable)
- Cert CII qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Driving license to cover client visits
