Celebrating 25 Years of VANRATH with a Charity Casino Night

VANRATH recently marked its 25th anniversary in style with a Charity Casino Night held at the iconic Custom House in Belfast.

Guests were welcomed by Managing Director Barbara McKiernan and members of the wider team, setting the tone for an evening filled with entertainment, conversation, and fundraising. Clients, partners, and familiar faces from across Northern Ireland’s business community came together to support two local charities: Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and Cancer Fund for Children. Both organisations offer vital support to families during incredibly challenging times, and the event has already raised over £2,500 for their work.

The night featured dancers, live music, casino tables, canapés, cocktails, beers, and wine — all within one of the city’s most recognisable venues. Attendees included representatives from well-known organisations such as TP ICAP, NIE Networks, iReel, OCO Global, Upwind Security, NI Chamber of Commerce, IQ&Co, Bank of Ireland, Ulster Bank, and many more.

VANRATH was founded in 2000 by Wayne Sullivan with a vision to reshape recruitment in Northern Ireland. Starting out with a focus on accountancy roles, the business quickly broadened its reach to include Tech, Finance, Public Sector, HR, Legal, and other sectors — establishing its reputation as a trusted recruitment partner across the region. In 2024, the company entered a new phase when Neil McKibbin acquired 100% of the business.

Since day one, VANRATH’s growth has been fuelled by steady investment in its people, workspace, and brand. From purchasing Victoria House to support the expanding team, to increasing visibility through advertising in Belfast City Airport, the company has continued to build on its strong foundations.

Today, VANRATH is recognised as the recruitment partner of choice for organisations ranging from start-ups to global firms. The team continues to balance its relationship-led approach with ongoing investment in AI and modern technology — helping them work more efficiently while keeping the personal touch that defines good recruitment.

As VANRATH looks ahead to the next chapter, the focus remains on delivering standout service, strengthening partnerships across Northern Ireland, and playing an active role in the local business community. With a talented team, strong industry ties, and a people-first mindset, the company is well positioned for another 25 years of growth, innovation, and positive impact.
