VANRATH are delighted to have partnered with Blue Moon Event Design to create a magical winter wonderland at the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.

Adorned with festive decorations, from twinkling lights to Christmas trees and reindeers, the Children’s Hospice in Newtownabbey has been truly transformed, bringing the spirit of the holiday season to Horizon House.

VANRATH has been supporting Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice since 2013 through the charity’s Time to Care initiative, which funds the salary of a qualified children’s nurse.

Our Founder and Director, Wayne Sullivan commented: “VANRATH are very proud supporters of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. We are aware that a number of the children will spend their Christmas at Horizon House, so it was a pleasure to be able to deliver some extra festive cheer for them this year- they deserve it.”

Heather Weir, CEO at Northern Ireland Hospice, said: “For many children and their families, Horizon House is a home from home; a place where they spend holidays and a place where they can benefit from respite care.

“To be able to bring Christmas to them in such spectacular fashion is really special. Everyone, staff, patients, siblings and parents will enjoy this wonderful gesture from VANRATH and Blue Moon.”

Rachael Lindsey, owner of Blue Moon Event Design said: “It was a pleasure to create the most adorable Christmas scenes for such special children, their families and the wonderful staff and volunteers.

“The Blue Moon Elves descended on Horizon House to spread some Christmas magic; a flurry of festive lit Snowy trees, life-size Reindeer, giant Jolly Snowmen and even Santa Claus himself, all generously sponsored by VANRATH. It was by far our favourite job of the year!”

It's been truly rewarding to bring something special to the children and their families, and we look forward to supporting the hospice for further years to come. If you'd like to learn more about VANRATH's work with the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice then visit our website here.
