VANRATH are recruiting a Training Engineer to join our manufacturing client's sales team, assisting their dealer network with technical application and queries.

The Role

The successful candidate will take up an instructional position within the client's product sales team, working closer with their dealer network and assist relevant departments with training and technical advise on product specifications, application and customer queries.

The Package

£30,000 to £35,000 DOE

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection of applications testing data for a specific range of products.
  • Keep up to date on the competitive landscape within the materials processing industry and provide detailed competitor comparisons to support our dealer network.
  • Manage and grow our library of case studies; from both dealer information and being on site.
  • Assist the Sales Training Manager in the creation and delivery of training material.
  • Be competent with a range of products and be able to facilitate demos and/or head-to-head comparisons when required.
  • Responsible for the creation and upkeep of technical specifications for the product range.
  • Responsible for the creation of sales drawings/site layout drawings on request from dealers.
  • Assist the Product Manager with the implementation of new machines to market including the creation of Features and Benefits documents and all other technical literature prior to machine launch.
  • Assist the Applications Engineer with the creation of Aggflow drawings.
  • Liaise closely with our engineering departments to further advance and improve the design of the product range.


About you

  • Third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
  • On-site experience of commissioning and fault finding on materials processing equipment.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
