A Technology Business Management Analyst position is currently available within the team. You will be in charge of supporting, supervising, and organising day-to-day operations in the TBM Office. The analyst should be passionate about problem solving, comfortable with uncertainty, and capable of thinking intellectually, analytically, and creatively.

They should also be able to provide data analytics assistance to financial consultant teams and executives, making suggestions for improvement and producing ideas for new insights.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversees the entire support of the Technology Business Management (TBM)/Apptio (SaaS) environment, as well as the execution of monthly procedures, data uploads, and validation.
  • Analysis and translates business, data, functional and user requirements into analytic and reporting requirements and assists the development of reports and processes
  • Understands the technical details, integration, and functions of an application, hardware and/or software within a team
  • Collaborates with other teams in coordinating changes across systems.
  • Conducts design reviews and monitor application design impacts between concurrent releases.
  • Prepares the staging and development of moderately complex test environments and conditions.
  • Assists in the implementation and validation of model and reporting adjustments
  • Analysis and drives resolution of technical issues and engages in root cause analysis.
  • Continually assess the environment and make appropriate recommendations for optimization and enhanced usability. Contributes to strategic decisions.
  • Assumes responsibility for audit activities and follow up within the TBM discipline.
  • Builds relationships and effectively collaborates to drive improved communication and transparency within all departments

Essential Criteria

  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
  • Degree level qualification in a quantitative discipline (Business Administration, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science or related discipline)
  • 3+ years within a technical acumen, data analytics and reporting role
  • High degree of aptitude with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyse, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data using advanced calculations
  • Understanding of financial concepts and/or processes
  • Understanding of project and portfolio management processes

Desirable criteria

  • Understanding of BI reporting software (PowerBI or Tableau).
  • Understanding of relational databases and warehouses (Oracle, MS Access, SQL etc.)
