The Sr. Technical Project Manager is a connector that brings together contributors and stakeholders throughout the execution of technical projects. This individual will be responsible for the overall project delivery and work with those involved in the project from conception to completion. You will build relationships, trust, and come up with creative solutions to increase collaboration and transparency in the organisation.
As a Senior Project Manager you have a unique opportunity to partner with Product and Engineering Leads to help support and guide teams, building the next generation of international media products. You'll be a pivotal team member in planning and delivering incremental value that contributes to the overall product and technology strategy.
What You'll Do:

  • Guide cross functional project teams through the end to end project lifecycle from conception to launch and become the Subject Matter Expert of each project you manage.
  • Partner with Product & Tech leadership to develop comprehensive project plans including project scope documentation, estimations, establishing milestones and key dates.
  • Build, maintain and communicate regular status reports summarising the project health.
  • Organize and facilitate project check in meetings that lead to actionable outcomes with clear ownership.
  • Build and maintain Project timelines and effectively incorporate them into the ongoing operations of the project team and all stakeholders.
  • Identify, document, and communicate scope changes and impact assessments according to the Change Management process.
  • Proactively identify cross-team dependencies, risks and mitigation strategies, issues and recovery plans and manage through to resolution.
  • Maintain accountability within project teams by upholding the highest quality standards, scope and time commitments.
  • Continually analyse quantitative team metrics and adapt project plans based on data.
  • Manage the budget and financial reports of assigned projects and present data to Finance Stakeholders.
  • Own the project closure procedures to ensure PMO captures lessons learned, outcomes in the form of KPIs.
  • Create a feedback loop between project team contributors and Product & Tech leaders and Program Management to improve overall project process and decision making.
  • Lead the delivery of 1 to 5 projects with medium - high level of complexity.



Who You Are:

  • Proven experience as an engineer, demonstrating a strong technical acumen and ability to understand new technologies seamlessly.
  • You have a proven track record of managing highly technical projects involving data, cloud infrastructure, and platform observability within the Agile Framework
  • Familiarity with application infrastructure which includes knowledge of Content Delivery Networks, APIs, microservice architecture, application / server migrations can recall specific examples of managing
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including driving consensus and alignment
  • You motivate your teams, promote effectiveness and contribute to new ideas in the spirit of partnership.
  • Experience managing project budgets, producing financial reporting and resource allocation.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • You proactively seek and share feedback and you believe in getting better every day, both personally and professionally.
  • CSM certification, Product Management experience preferred.
