Role
Responsibilities:
As a Customer Support Engineer Staff you will lead team of support engineers supporting Infrastructure and applications including:
* Lead and drive troubleshooting on Customer reported issues.
* Isolate Product issue at hardware/software level, own and document communication among customers, engineering and provide final fix.
* Be a customer advocate for timely resolution of the problems reported, understand the environment/network and impact on business.
* Participate in tasks such as new product development projects, Knowledge base creation, trainings, and other documentation activities.
* Mentor newly hired support engineers and peers in technical areas of specialty.
* Understand Customer's impact, prioritize and communicate effectively between various stakeholders.
* Contribute to New Product/Feature readiness, Knowledge Creation, Quality/Continuous improvement initiatives and Training/Mentoring activities.
* Be a Team player, flexible to work on Weekends/Holidays as per the Business requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:
* BS or MS in CS, EE or equivalent
* 7+ years of experience in Customer support, Infrastructure IT Operations, Software development
* Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and customer handling skills.
* Ability to logically troubleshoot complex and high impact problems
* Self-learner with appetite for continuous development.
* Previous experience in an Cloud Customer Support, SRE or DevOps role
* Experience in distributed systems design and integration architectures of business applications using micro services, containers, and cloud
* Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) features and management
* Creating and running Ansible playbooks
* Familiarity with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-a-code platform
* Expertise in Python programming
In-depth knowledge of the following:
* One of the Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP)
* Linux Networking and Internet protocols
* Scripting skills like Python, Perl, or Shell (bash, ksh, csh)
* Switching Technology

Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding and hands-on experience of cloud basics on Kubernetes, Docker containers, PostgreSQL and Virtual Machines
* Familiarity with Google Cloud and Azure
* Basic network administration
* Familiarity with Junos
* Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
* Cloud Computing certifications
* Familiarity with monitoring tools, as New Relic, Datadog, Splunk (SignalFX), Cloud Watch, Cloud Trails
* Experience in Cloud Security (OWAS model, MITRE CVE/CVSS/CWE, NIST-FIPS and alike) and firewall/policy
