About you:

  • Food-related qualification or demonstrable experience in a similar specification or technical role
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and assertive with a keen initiative

What you'll do:

  • Approve, maintain, and update finished product specifications ensuring compliance with customer, legislation, and group policies
  • Generate accurate ingredient declarations and estimate meat content using theoretical and lab analysis methods
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to amend specifications and ensure data validation
  • Prepare legal pack copies for packaging that meet all technical and legal requirements
  • Upload specifications and approve artwork, working closely with design, production, and customer teams
  • Maintain documentation such as nutrition data, validations, certificates, and supporting files
  • Respond to customer queries and present specifications during audits or visits
  • Support continuous improvement by staying updated on process changes, regulations, and customer requirements
