Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist

VANRATH are delighted to be accepting applications from Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapists to support clinical teams within a large public health organisations based in Belfast.

The role will initially run for 6 months, with a high chance of extension and progression routes for the right candidate.

Full time, 37.5 hours a week Mon - Fri.

Salary
Band 6 (£32k)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy or Equivalent.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist.
  • Two year's post registration experience working across adults and/or paediatrics including:
    • At least 8 months clinical experience in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory patients
    • At least 4 months working in a rehabilitation setting
  • Basic computer skills for communication, data collection and research purposes.
  • Knowledge of managing patients with a variety of conditions and complex needs
  • Ability to implement evidence-based practice principles.
  • Current driving license and access to vehicle.

Desirable

  • Experience working with ventilated patients and tracheostomies .

The Role

  • Act as a specialist physiotherapist responsible for the clinical management of respiratory patients.
  • Demonstrate a high level of clinical reasoning/diagnostic skills, hold an active caseload and offer a range of appropriate treatments to patients in the areas of Critical Care, Surgery, Medicine and Cardiology.
  • Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team's clinical practice, making recommendations for change to practice to the Team Leader.
  • As a specialist Physiotherapist, the post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive physiotherapy service to patients.
  • To participate in on-call and out of hours service.
