VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for a SOX Auditor for one of the largest property and liability insurance companies in the US. With 2,400 employees in Northern Ireland alone, my client is currently undergoing a tremendous period of growth. My client is keen to recruit graduates and experienced auditors to the team. The Role
The SOX Auditor, will add value to my clients' organisation by covering areas such as internal control assessment, enhanced financial disclosure as well as IT controls for the storing and processing of financial data. This role is designed to test the SOX processes to ensure that they meet the rigorous requirements of the process. Our new SOX Auditors will be part of a centralised SOX Audit/Testing global team.



As a SOX Auditor your role will include:

  • Perform internal SOX audits, reviews, validation, and compliance
  • Participate in the review and evaluation of existing and proposed internal controls of manual and automated operations to safeguard company assets and to comply with government regulations
  • Perform additional audit assignments as requested
  • Work with external auditors, insurance examiners, and external auditors to answer questions and provide backup
  • Ability to maintain and grow relationships with internal and external customers using effective communication and interaction skills
  • Ability to multi- task while independently and effectively prioritizing work using time management, initiative, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Attend training and development seminars to enhance job performance

The Ideal Candidate
There are opportunities for both entry level and senior positions for the operational auditor. The following is essential for both junior and senior level candidates:

  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
  • A 2:1 or above degree in a relevant financial discipline.
  • Recent experience of auditing and assurance concepts through experience gained on a commercial graduate placement and/or university project for our entry-level Internal Auditor roles.
  • Basic Project Management skills with a logical and analytical approach.
  • Good problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to act with integrity and demonstrate confidentiality, independence and objectivity.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when undertaking new projects.
  • Proficient in business-related computing applications (e.g., Microsoft Office applications).
