VANRATH are recruiting a SHEQ Officer to support and uphold the Safety, Health, Quality & Environmental standards across our client's nationwide organisation.

Client

Our client are nationally renowned, as one of the largest providers of logistical support services across the UK and Ireland.

Their group now incorporates 5 companies, across multiple locations, providing services to a wide range of industries. They have quickly established themselves as the trusted partner in logistical support for some of the leading names in manufacturing, retail and distribution.

The SHEQ team is based on the outskirts of Ballyclare, overseeing all locations within the group. The SHEQ Officer will work directly with the SHEQ Manager.

Remuneration:
£32k to £36k DOE

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the documentation and management of SHEQ policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
  • Support the SHEQ Manager, Group Companies & Departments in the review & creating of quality, health and safety and environment documentation, such as quality procedures, risk assessments, COSHH assessments and environmental aspects and impacts.
  • Write up reports on audits and site inspections.
  • Assist with the provision of SHEQ awareness programs to staff through training and briefings.
  • Dealing with SHEQ enquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Participate in the investigating of accidents and near misses.



The Ideal Person:

  • Recognised Health & Safety Qualification (NEBOSH or similar)
  • Experience with ISO standards
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
