A well-established manufacturing company in Antrim is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Welder who is looking to move off the tools and step into a leadership and training role.
This position is ideal for a skilled welder who wants to share their expertise, mentor junior welders, and play a key role in developing the next generation of fabricators.

The Role

As Senior Welder / Welding Trainer, you will:

  • Support and mentor welders and fabricators, providing hands-on training and guidance.
  • Ensure weld quality and fabrication standards are consistently met.
  • Deliver coaching on best practices, safe working procedures, and technical skills.
  • Work with supervisors and production teams to identify training needs and skills gaps.
  • Help create a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the workshop.

About You

  • Time-served welder with significant experience in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication.
  • Strong technical knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and develop others.
  • A team player with strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
  • Previous mentoring or supervisory experience is desirable but not essential.

What's on Offer

  • Salary £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE).
  • Monday to Friday role - no weekend shifts.
  • Opportunity to step away from day-to-day welding and move into a leadership/training role.
  • Supportive environment with ongoing development opportunities.

If you are an experienced welder looking to take the next step in your career, this is an excellent chance to move into a rewarding training and leadership role while still staying close to the workshop.
