VANRATH is delighted to have partnered with a leading FinTech firm to recruit a Manager of Security Engineering to join their talented team.

The Ideal Person

  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
  • The ideal candidate will 5+ years in security operations. They should have advanced technical knowledge of network security, operating system security, vulnerability management, DLP, agile methodologies, and SIEM
  • 5+ years' management experience, including accountabilities for all aspects of leading an organization including people management and development across multiple global organisations, finance/budgetary management, strategy planning and implementation, design and implementation of work processes, and delivery of complex work products
  • Knowledge of SIEM technologies and use case design
  • Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux systems management
  • Knowledge of Agile best practices



Responsibilities

  • Set strategic direction for all managed capabilities.
  • Internal partner relationship management, i.e. centers of excellence, Security Governance, GSFC leaders, etc.
  • Represent organizations projects and deliverables
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities across a diverse range of services
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering, operations, and automation.
  • Build and maintain an effective workplace environment and culture for teams
  • Explain technical security topics and risks to VPs and other company leaders
  • Act as mentor for other leaders
  • Perform managerial accountabilities i.e. including budgeting, goal setting, employee reviews, payroll, etc.
