VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting a Senior Linux System Engineer (Fully remote) for one of NI's leading players in the payments industry. You will be part of a great team that have a number f excitiing proojects aheaad with the acquisiotion of companies and migration over to Azure. The company has been rapidly growing over the past 3 years with a fully remote working environment yet still maintaining a great team culture.
The Role
As a Linux Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the design, installation, upgrading and maintenance Linux server systems, network, voice and desktop infrastructures. You must be comfortable with troubleshooting, and perform Route cause analysis as well as design.
The Person
The ideal candidate must be able to display the following:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of relevant experience with Linux operating system environments, including Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, and/or SUSE.
- Commitment to achieving 100% uptime.
- Deep technical expertise and hands-on with Linux Server administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with managing local content update repositories and coordinating regular updates to specific package builds across an enterprise.
- Working knowledge of SELinux and experience troubleshooting AVCs.
- Understanding and/or experience with cloud and on-premise virtualization technologies, as well as best practices for Linux operating systems when running on these platforms.
- Experience with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation.
- Experience with mixed Windows / Linux environments with Active Directory and/or other directory services.
- Experience managing Antivirus on Linux systems.
Remuneration
The company offer a great package with a salary between 70-75k depending on experience, fully remote, flexible holiday and other perks.
