VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Senior Finance Officer to join a successful, stable team in Belfast. This is a 6-month contract role to assist during a specific project, and would be ideal for a candidate who is comfortable preparing accounts to trial balance.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Finance Officer will join a team of 5, ensuring the accounting transactions are completed in line with agreed timescales. This is an urgent position for the business and interviews are happening immediately.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2+ years' experience working in an Accounts Assistant/Finance Officer role:

• Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
• Experience in month end processes
• Knowledge of integrated accounts packages
• Strong communication skills
• Available to start at short notice

Responsibilities

As a Senior Finance Officer, you will:

• Assist in the preparation of financial projects, budgets and cashflows
• Prepare annual revenue and capital budget models
• Monitor financial progress against targets
• Assist with management accounts
• General accounts administration; bank reconciliations, allocating payment
