Senior Engineering Manager (Rare Role)

My client is one of the global leaders in music licensing Services that has grown the team by over 50 people in the last two years across Engineering, QA and Product functions. The plan is to scale the team by another 10 people in 2022 and this role will be integral to the growth plan of the Engineering team. While this person will not be 'Hands on' writing code, they will have come from a proven Engineering background in Java or .Net and will have had experience overseeing teams of 15+ across Engineering, QA functions while working alongside Product Management.

This role will be sitting in the Senior Leadership team and will have major contribution to the processes and operational aspects of how the team is run.

This client conducts a thorough interview process that can be done completely remotely. For any candidate that requires Video Conferencing facilities, we can offer that in our brand new offices here at VANRATH.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 3+ years of hands-on software delivery experience
• Experience with leading an engineering team Experience with hiring and growing engineering talent
• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams
• Agile experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline 5+ years of experience building and managing high performance technical teams and running multiple concurrent programs or projects
• An understanding of online application development.
• Experience in delivering Enterprise-scale systems.
• Experience working with customer facing UIs and products. Experience in creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans; prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals
• Proven track record of managing software teams
• Cloud experience (AWS/GCP preferable)
• CI/CD experience is a nice to have
