VANRATH are proud to be recruiting for an experienced Senior/Principal Civil Engineer


Client
Our client is currently experiencing growth within the Water Sector and are looking for a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to support their team in delivering current and future projects. This is an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the Water Sector, deepen your technical skills and help influence our future approaches to efficient delivery. As a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer, you will work within a team providing technical design input on water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure schemes for both public and private sector clients.


Remuneration:
£45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits DOE


The Ideal Person

  • A relevant degree and Chartered with an applicable Professional Institution (ICE or CIWEM)
  • A good understanding, ideally gained within a consultancy environment, of either;
    • water/wastewater networks design, or;
    • water/wastewater treatment works design,
  • A good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, CESWI and relevant British Standards. An appreciation of hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM and/or Synergy) would be desirable.
  • An appreciation of BIM approaches, use of CDEs and 3D coordinated modelling (Civils 3D, Revit, Navisworks and/or Bentley OpenRoads) would be desirable.



Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate and efficient delivery, exercising independent engineering judgement and providing guidance and support to Engineers and Technicians.
  • The role will enable you to further develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency.
  • The work includes developing strategies, feasibility studies as well as outline and detailed scheme designs.
  • You will work as part of a dynamic and award winning water team in Belfast within a wider team of 350 professionals network across the UK supported by our Global Water Team.
