Senior Data Scientist/AI Engineer

My client are having a fantastic 12 months. A new division, some exceptional hires and already a plan to hire another 10 Data specialists in January 2023. Working at a global scale, in a progressive and encouraging environment, this is not only a great place to work, but a great place to learn.

The Opportunity


Data Science & AI Engineers are centric to the plans for growth in 2023. Whether you are an expert in computer vision, have a passion for NLP, love playing with Graph my client would really like to hear from you. My client also believe all sector experience has something to offer, so whether you are Telco or FS, Consumer Products or Utilities, it will all add to the richness of services this business can offer to clients.
In 2022, I placed individuals from Consultancy, Software and Engineering profiles with this client as well as individuals with Financial Services and Shared Services profiles.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Steering the pursuit of new work through client conversations and presentations
    * Supporting the Market teams in building go to market strategies
    * Mentoring and managing other experienced and aspiring Data Science & AI Engineers
    * Managing bid response work to articulate what value we can bring
    * Research & development in support of new AI based offerings
    * Developing & delivering client solutions using a range of DS/AI technologies
    * Learning about new technologies/research and how they could be applied for the benefit of our clients

Other Skills required:


  • Strong client facing sales pursuit and delivery skills
    * Professional experience in delivery of advanced analytics/DS/AI projects
    * Excellent understanding of mathematical, probability & statistics principles, and of algorithm theory
    * Detailed knowledge of a range of AI techniques including, graph data analytics, time series, NLP, deep learning, supervised and unsupervised machine learning etc
    * Programming skills in Python or R, Spark and SQL
    * Worked with open source data science libraries and understand how to apply them to various problem types
    * Experience of using the latest Data science platforms (e.g. Databricks, AzureML) and frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, MXNet, scikit-learn)


Ideally, you'll also have:


* Experience of working on a Microsoft Azure platform
* Used a data visualisation technology
* Software engineering experience (e.g. coding standards, version control, testing, review)
* Experience of IoT
* Domain knowledge across public sector, utilities, pharma, consumer products, telco or retail
