VANRATH are recruiting a Property Asset Planning Officer to support the ongoing development and management of maintenance plan, ensuring individual contracts and preventative maintenance plans are fit for purpose, managing change, analysing programme and contract progress, interdependencies, risks/issues and reporting performance.

Remuneration:
c£38,000, alongside holiday entitlement and pension (from day one).

The Ideal Person
Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a construction contract environment.
  • Experience in construction contract management and administration.
  • Experience of data interrogation to support planning and performance.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials and business.
  • Understanding of budget control and management of budgets.
  • Experience in cost or contract management for construction / engineering projects.
  • Minimum of a degree or equivalent in a relevant technical subject with a minimum of 2 years' experience in contract management, planning, and analysis. Alternatively, possess a minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent in a construction related subject with minimum of 3 years' experience in the development of management systems and procedures of contract costing, planning, estimation, and assessment

Desirable

  • Experience of NEC 3/4 suite of contracts.
  • Experience of producing reports via interactive data visualization software (crystal, Power BI).
  • Experience of using an asset management software system



Responsibilities

  • Support development of management systems and procedures to provide assurance on contract cost planning, estimation, and assessment.
  • Undertake sufficient checking and auditing to provide assurance to the Head of Property Assets with respect to compliance with agreed cost and contract management systems and procedures.
  • Undertake contract reviews to identify efficiency opportunities, value for money solution, risk contingencies and lessons learned.
  • Utilise the information reported through the Property CAFM system to develop bespoke schedules and analysis capability to support planning and performance management requirements for wider stakeholder group.
  • Support and advise Property & Estates teams by analysing Contractors / Supplier programmes (schedules) and advise on financial, quality, compliance, and alignment issues with agreed contract scope.
  • Support the ongoing development of the maintenance plan over short, medium and long-term horizons to reflect business requirements, priorities and funding/resource constraints.
  • Assist with the preparation of tender documents. (ITT, PQQ.) including Contract Data, Works Information, Scope and pricing Documents and check same for documents prepared by others.
  • Provide contract and management advice to contract managers within Property & Estates including dispute resolution.
  • Support the preparation and review of monthly Property Asset Management progress reports including analysis and KPI's.
