Procurement Officer - Public Sector

Job Description

VANRATH are recruiting for Public Sector procurement professionals to join our teams across Greater Belfast and beyond on a full-time temporary basis (pending review).

The ideal candidate

  • At least 3 years relevant Public Procurement experience working in a complex multi-discipline organisation.
  • Experience in the use of an electronic e-sourcing platform.
  • Working knowledge of best practice public procurement.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Good administrative and financial skills.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full.

It would be advantageous for applicants to hold or be working towards Level 6 Full Membership which gives membership to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Summary of the role

Acting as Procurement Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of the objectives outlined in the Procurement Section's Business Plan. These play a key role in the effective delivery of the procurement service and achieve the key objectives set out in the departmental business plan.
