Client
Providing a professional advisory and support service to a number of public bodies on all matters relating to the development of human resources and organisation development strategies, policies and procedures. They are keen to appoint a Principal HR Advisor initially on a 18 month Fixed Term Contract.
The Ideal Person
If you are educated to degree level, hold membership of CIPD and have at least 3 years' experience in a Senior Management position in public service
Or
Have 5 years' experience in a similar role at a senior level in a public service environment.
AND

  • Demonstrable ability to manage change
  • Proven record of leadership and achievement


Responsibilities
As Principal HR Advisor you will:

  • Develop, advise on, and recommend options for HR and OD policy change
  • Draft, develop and lead consultation on strategic policy options with a regional impact and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Develop, promote, and maintain a statutory Code of Procedures on Recruitment and Selection
  • Act as observer at senior recruitment panels
  • Periodically review recruitment and selection procedures
  • Be responsible for a sector wide network of diversity Champions who champion equality and diversity in their own organisations
  • Make recommendations to committees and working groups dealing with high level confidential HR issues.
