VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading Charity based in Belfast city centre who are recruiting a Payroll Officer to join their team for a period of 6 months. This is an opportunity to join an organisation who provide an essential service to the local communities of Northern Ireland.

To be considered for this role it is essential to have previous end-to-end payroll processing, including managing the administration of new starters and leavers. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this is the perfect opportunity to join a stable environment/team within a large finance function. They are renowned for offering internal opportunities for development and progression.

This role will offer hybrid working and is available to start immediately.

The Ideal Person

If you've 2 years' experience working in a payroll processing role and are experienced with high volume processing:

  • Payroll and pensions experience
  • Knowledge of HMRC regulations
  • High degree of self-motivation and initiative
  • Well-developed customer service skills

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Officer, you will:

  • Process monthly payroll for UK and ROI jurisdictions
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and up to date RTI
  • Reviewing expenses for payment
  • Maintenance of sickness records
  • Correlating and checking input information, i.e. overtime & bonus and other non-standard payments
  • Maintenance of travel and expense claims
