A leading Public Sector organisation based in Ballymena who provide a significant service in the local community, are currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer.
We are keen to speak with experienced Payroll Officers to join on an initial contract with the realistic opportunity for extension.
This role is an urgent requirement for the business and can offer the opportunity for an immediate start, for the right candidate.
The Ideal Person
Previous experience within Payroll is essential.
Responsibilities
As a Payroll officer you will:
- To provide leadership, guidance and drive performance of the Payroll function
- To effectively manage the Payroll Function
- Manage the delivery of a comprehensive payroll service, ensuring accurate and timely payments ensuring all statutory and non-statutory deductions are made, paid and reported on a timely basis.
- Design and produce Payroll reports and information.
- To take responsibility for the implementation of the function's plans
- To lead and manage the work of the staff within the Payroll function
- To identify training needs within the Payroll function
- Produce interface files for the Finance system and perform monthly Payroll reconciliations.
- Design and maintain procedures to process payments relating to employee expenses and mileage claims.
