Payroll Administrator
VANRATH is pleased to working with a small accountancy practice in County Down as they recruit for a Payroll Administrator. The successful Payroll Administrator will report directly to the Payroll Manager and be responsible for weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll. The Role
The successful Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll and pension data to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You will work with a portfolio of 100+ clients and process weekly, biweekly and monthly payroll and handle any payroll related queries. The successful individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Processing the payroll data each pay period accurately and to an agreed payroll schedule for a bank of clients
  • Setting up new employees and processing leavers
  • Set up and administration of pension information including auto enrolment
  • Calculating PAYE liabilities and notifying clients of liabilities and payment details
  • Issuing payslips, P60's, P45's and P11D's to employees
  • Preparation and submission of P11d's
  • Preparation and submission of CIS returns
  • Liaising with clients to obtain information required and resolve any queries
  • Any other reasonable duties requested by the partners



The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a similar environment and have a good knowledge of end-to-end payroll. Moreover, knowledge of BrightPay software would be a huge benefit.

  • At least 3 years payroll experience with good understanding of payroll compliance
  • Ideally a Payroll Qualification
  • Ability to work under own initiative to solve problems by research
  • Ability to review processes and improve efficiencies with payroll department
  • Excellent IT skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Good time management skills and ability to work towards deadlines
  • A Team player with excellent communication skills
