Organisational Development Manager

Job Description

A brilliant new opportunity has just opened up for an Organisational Development Manager to join a well-known public sector organisation on a full-time, temporary basis. Our client is looking for an energetic, driven and knowledgeable individual to form part of the HR & OD management team and the post holder will work closely with the Head of HR & OD to implement the strategic aims of the Talent Management Strategy.

The Ideal Person

Will work in conjunction with the other members of the HR and OD management team to implement the three year strategic plan and align the team to the values of the organisation.

  • Hold a degree level qualification
  • Have membership of CIPD and a minimum of three years' experience in a significant HR, training or Organisation Development role

OR

  • Minimum of five years' experience in a significant HR or Organisation Development role.
  • Proven experience of driving organisational improvements through people
  • Demonstrable experience in engaging colleagues in developing HR solutions related to business objectives

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Head of HR & OD and the Learning and Development Manager develop documentation to support the performance management schemes for support and academic staff, incorporating the new Competency Framework and the Values of the organisation
  • Develop generic objectives, aligned to the key priorities as outlined in the three-year Strategic Plan, for use in performance management processes
  • Ensure timely completion of all appraisal and performance management documentation and recording of these and training needs on the HR Information System
  • Undertake research to make recommendation for increased employee engagement initiatives
  • With the other members of the HR & OD management team and Internal Communications Manager develop and implement employee engagement initiatives ensuring they identify, target and drive employee engagement across the organisation
  • Work with the Equality & Wellbeing Manager to ensure an attractive suite of benefits is offered to staff
  • Work with the HR & OD management team to develop efficient work processes across the department using technology where appropriate
