Client

VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting a Management Accountant to join a leading public sector employer in Belfast city centre on an initial temporary contract. The organisation are taking on an extensive programme of work and require Qualified Accountants to join their team immediately to assist with the extra workload.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will take responsibility for ensuring the monthly management accounts are prepared and submitted in line with month end schedules. To be considered for this role, it is essential to have proven experience within the management accounts process, ideally with strong communication skills to report the financial results to senior management.

The Ideal Person

If you've 3+ years' experience working in a Finance role and are confident with the month end accounting process.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong reporting skills
  • Ability to work productively and flexibly while meeting deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and comfortable in a deadline driven industry

Responsibilities

As a Management Accountant you will:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of cashflows
  • Assist with preparation of projections and budgets
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects
  • Assist with the mentoring of junior finance staff
