Role:
An opportunity has arisen within the Central Finance Team for a Qualified Accountant who is highly motivated, with a strong accounting background and capability.
The role is for a Management Accountant to support the finance team carry out varied accounting tasks including compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data in core day-to-day activities.
- Consolidation and analysis of divisional plans and forecasts on behalf of Group.
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation and qualitative interpretation of Group and Divisional performance reporting.
- Work closely with the management team to develop the annual operating budgets, forecasts and the periodical reforecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic individual and consolidated financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet, cashflows and commentaries.
- Assisting in preparation of financial forecasts.
- Preparation of support schedules and back up to the management accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of commentary and variance analysis for Board reporting.
- Periodic margin review and assisting in the review of Divisional P&Ls.
- Assisting with year-end audit, providing supporting evidence and explanations as required.
- Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the Central Finance Team.
The Candidate:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 1-3 years PQE.
- Knowledge and application of accounting standards.
- Good excel skills and ability to understand complex models and analysis.
- Experience in assisting with the forecasting and budgeting process and divisional performance reporting.
