We are delighted to be working exclusively with a global Manufacturing business in helping recruit for a Management Accountant. Reporting to the Senior Financial Reporting Manager, this fantastic role includes all aspects of reporting across the Group and gives the right candidate an exciting opportunity to work for an innovative business in a fast-aced environment.


The Ideal Person


Essential Criteria;

  • Fully qualified accountant with any of the internationally recognised professional accounting bodies (ICAI, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA etc).
  • Manufacturing experience desirable
  • Experience of taxation and reporting to HMRC, including corporation tax, Intrastat, VAT etc
  • Experience of statutory audit procedure and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Excellent financial modelling and data analysis skills; highly proficient in advanced Excel techniques, as well as other typical business productivity tools.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, validation and reporting of weekly management accounts for one of the group entities, together with appropriate commentary.
  • Timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, together with variance analysis, margin analysis and commentary for one of the group entities.
  • Reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts prior to monthly review with the Group CFO
  • Assisting the Senior Financial Reporting Manager in year-end statutory accounts preparation for all group companies, planning procedures for the year end audit and responding to queries during the audit itself.
  • Assisting in the day to day treasury function, including assistance with bank postings and reconciliations, and management of FX.
  • Assisting with other aspects of financial reporting as and when required by the Senior Financial Reporting Manager or CFO
  • Input into annual budgeting processes.
  • Assist in improvement projects to develop best in class finance delivery and participate in business unit improvement initiatives.
