M&E Quantity Surveyor
Are you looking for a M&E Quantity Surveyor role? Interested in working for a leading Fire Safety contractor?

VANRATH are recruiting a M&E Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading Fire Safety contractor, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE + car allowance / bonus / package

Client:
Leading approved designers and installers of Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems that have been operating for 20 years. Belfast based with extensive experience across the UK and Ireland in the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of leading class Sprinkler Systems for the commercial, industrial, residential, and domestic markets.

Role Purpose:
To support the team with growth and ensure future projects have been costed correctly to include meeting tender specification. Support key stake holders with tender review and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review both mechanical & electrical tender packages to include NEC & JCT contracts
  • Review with key stake holders submitted tenders to client base and ensure tender specification is achieved
  • Measure and value completed work
  • Monitor costs, variations, and claims
  • Prepare valuations and final accounts
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and site team

The Ideal Person:

  • Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • At least 3 years' experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor
  • Previous experience reviewing breakdown of sprinkler systems / fire alarm & tender specifications
  • Knowledge of construction contracts JCT & NEC
  • Strong numerical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Office 365 & supporting packages
