About the Role

As a Litigation Solicitor, you will manage a diverse and challenging caseload involving motor, casualty, and indemnity claims, many of which reach the High Court. Working within a collaborative team, you will gain valuable experience handling complex disputes from inception to resolution, ensuring high standards of legal service and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of litigated claims, including motor, casualty, and indemnity issues.
  • Progress files efficiently, adhering to client instructions and commercial objectives.
  • Draft pleadings, legal advice, applications, and correspondence with precision.
  • Conduct witness interviews, prepare statements, and analyze evidence related to liability and causation.
  • Instruct counsel as required and attend mediations, court hearings, and conferences.
  • Maintain meticulous case management records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Provide clients with regular updates, advice on liability, quantum, and possible resolutions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet case and firm targets.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 1-6 years' PQE in litigation.
  • Experience in personal injury, motor, or casualty claims is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of indemnity, liability, and quantum issues.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Capable of managing a busy workload proactively and efficiently.
  • Confident in client management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and a team player with a passion for continual learning and development.
