IT Project Manager - (Agile / Software)

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland's leading organisations who are working on a flagship IT project which involves supporting internal and external stakeholders during analysis, design, development and implementation phases, which may include aspects of software development along with overseeing associated project documentation and status updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver small to medium sized ICT projects to time and budget as directed and advised.
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop business cases; Manage projects through the required formal approval stages such business case approvals.
  • Develop plans and strategies for delivery of projects.
  • Produce documentation and reports in line with Standards and Practices as appropriate.
  • Report project progress through Highlight Reports, Stage and Exception Plans as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors/third party suppliers in the procurement, implementation and transition of small to medium sized ICT Systems, Solutions and Services.
  • Follow agreed procedures and specialist advice, such as legal or procurement services, as required to effectively deliver a project.
  • Maintain Project Risks and Issue Logs.
  • Liaise with Programme Managers and related projects to ensure that project deliverables are coordinated, and duplication is avoided where possible.



Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a pass degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in an IT-related subject or other discipline with a computing content of 50% or more, relevant to Information Systems and Information Technology

AND

b)

  • 3+ years' experience of IT project management using agile processes gained within a software development work environment in the last 5 years
  • Experience working with business application owners and development teams to document and clarify business and user requirements
  • Experience gained in the last 5 years in hands-one software development, and in-depth understanding of the latest software development technologies.



Remuneration
Circa. £42,000 (DP Scale) plus pension, holiday pay and discount benefits.
