HR Business Partner (VANRATH Exclusive)
Belfast with Hybrid Work available



VANRATH is exclusively partnering with a global manufacturer, as they seek to appoint a HR Business Partner on a 6-month fixed term contract, with potential for extension.


Reporting to the Director of People, the successful applicant will work as part of a HR matrix style team supporting various operational assets and central functions and will need to benchmark against best practice, ensuring all required activities are in place and aligned with the HR improvement plan and work with the wider HR team.

The HR Business Partner will be key to supporting the continuous integration and streamlining of the HR processes to improve efficiency's across a number of sites in both the North and South of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing HR Strategies
  • Leading and managing employee relations in a unionised environment
  • Provision of proactive value-added HR solutions, driving innovation
  • Responsible for monitoring, delivering and reporting effective day to day operational issues in line with good practice and legislation
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify areas where HR can add value, providing proactive solutions and influencing operational decision-making
  • Transformational change management projects, from initiation to completion
  • Work on business-as-usual requirements such as remuneration review, benefit design, creation of bonus schemes, employee and trades union relations and business partnering with line managers, local and central teams to maximise people performance and improve the colleague experience



The Person

  • Experience in a HR Business Partner role to include providing HR advice and guidance up to senior manager level. A successful track record in Human Resources within a complex organisation ideally with experience in a unionised environment, of managing employee relations in a comparable industry such as manufacturing, engineering, or a production focused business.
  • Developing and implementing a range of employment policies and processes in line with best practice.
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and good practice and evidence of maintaining up-to date knowledge of same.
  • Strong IT Skills including experience in the use of HR Information Systems.
