Senior Leadership Role
Ballymena

VANRATH is partnering with one of Northern Irelands largest private sector employers, with the key appointment of a new HR Business Partner (Senior site role) for their Ballymena site.


The HR Business Partner is a credible and proactive member of the Site Leadership Team, being accountable for designing and delivering a site HR plan (within budget) which is aligned to Group Strategic HR Plan and complex goals. This is a true business partnering post and will attract a leadership salary and benefits package to ensure the very best applicant is appointed.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, lead and drive HR plans within the site:
  • Achieve excellent employee relations.
  • Deliver effective employee engagement and participation.
  • Lead annual employee engagement survey to achieve target participation levels.
  • Facilitate Team Briefing and employee involvement.
  • Best in class communication processes and systems are established and implemented on the site.
  • Ensure all employees are legally allowed to work on site and trained and competent to fulfil their roles.
  • Adherence to all relevant company policies, legislation and customer protocols to ensure the highest standards are maintained in the ethical use of migrant labour.
  • Manage and lead site Union talks, works council and employee engagement.
  • Facilitate Team Briefing and employee involvement.
  • Delivery of effective IPR's to ensure that individual performance reviews are completed for everyone and that follow up action plans are delivered.
  • Plan and deliver site succession planning in conjunction with senior management to ensure the development of employees with potential for greater responsibility.
  • Advocate and champion Diversity within the site.
  • Lead on ensuring that Values are communicated and lived by our employees at all levels.
  • Achieve best in class standards of HR Excellence through HR Dashboard metrics - Management accountability will be achieved through the review and timely reporting of HR Dashboard measures with appropriate follow up actions undertaken.
  • Audit and review the paperwork and procedures to ensure that these are legally compliant and of the highest standard against SEDEX and other audit standards.

The Successful Candidate

  • A passion for HR excellence, fully demonstrated by a proven track record in a previous organisation.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous HR Manager level experience within the manufacturing industry or able to demonstrate having a proven comparable HR record.
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualified.
  • Proven Unionised workforce experience (including leading union negotiations) and well-honed industrial relations / conflict resolution experience.
  • Have a proven track record of improving operational efficiencies through managing cost & people development.
  • Previous involvement in organisational change and restructuring to meet business needs, customer needs and desire for continuous improvement.


Full valid driving licence

Remuneration:
A highly competitive base salary and car allowance to reflect the senior nature of the role.
