Job description

A unique business based in Belfast requires a Group Accountant to join their team, taking responsibility for the financial leadership across subsidiary companies in England, Ireland and Wales. Are you a Qualified Accountant with experience of mentoring a small team, while working in a group environment.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Part-Qualified Accountant with significant relevant experience
  • Broad accountancy experience, including budgeting, management accounts and statutory reporting
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements

What you'll do

  • Manage and support the Group Accounts team of 3, overseeing workloads, accuracy and development
  • Prepare management and statutory year-end accounts for group companies
  • Produce sales, margin, inventory reporting, including inventory reconciliations and stock valuation
  • Support subsidiary companies by ensuring accuracy of financial data
  • Plan, coordinate and issues budgets twice annually
  • Liaise with external auditors during the year-end audit process
