VANRATH is pleased to be recruiting for an FP&A Consultant for a large organisation based in the heart of Belfast. Our client is currently going through a period of expansion due to organic growth and increased business. The successful candidate will be part of a team which will manage up to $70 billion worth of assets and provide recommendations for process improvement, whilst caring out key analysis and reporting.

The Role
The successful candidate will play a vital role in our client's investment portfolio, as they will be responsible for key analysis and reporting. It is vital the successful candidate is confident handling large amounts of data and comfortable working to tit deadline to help the team meet pre-arranged deadlines and KPIs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Support the internal management reporting and analysis activities by preparing analysis, compiling reports, and assisting in updating presentations
  • Participate on current reporting project and complete analyses as requested by management
  • Work collaboratively within team and with suppliers of plan and data manipulation
  • Able to work with large amounts of data and able to ensure the accuracy of the results
  • Clearly articulate point-of-view, and analyse problems with assistance of management
  • Prepare and maintain on-going documentation with regard to analytical concepts/methodologies and associated process controls
  • Ability to react and update processes to changing requirements from management which could include additional portfolio or asset class breakouts


The Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in a finance-based role, in which they have handled large amounts data, as well as being comfortable searching for anomalies and discrepancies. Moreover, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, as this role will require liaisons between senior management and other team members to convey financial data effectively. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • 3+ years' experience in a finance-based role
  • Accountancy or Finance degree and/or working toward a professional qualification
  • Strong understand of general accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis
  • Ideally experience with PowerBI/ Tableau would be strong advantage.
