VANRATH are recruiting a Fleet Project Co-Ordinator to support the Major Programmes team in successfully delivering the capital plan across bus and Service Operations ensuring that the Division meets its responsibilities.

Remuneration:
c£28,567, alongside holiday entitlement and pension (from day one).

The Ideal Person
Essential

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in transport related project or programme management support role
  • Minimum of a HNC/HND qualification or equivalent
  • Experience overseeing and reporting on budgets and expenditure
  • Awareness of the monitoring and control of allocated resources, revenue costs and all capital cost against a project budget


Desirable

  • Experience working and coordinating in a broad and diverse stakeholder environment
  • Experience corresponding with and reporting at forums involving senior management
  • Possess Prince 2 foundation stage or equivalent qualification
  • Experience using the Agresso Finance System or Infor Asset Management System and procedures or similar financial system
  • Experience of project management



Responsibilities

  • Establish programme management document control systems to facilitate the delivery of improvements in project performance and outcomes and manage all project documentation ensuring compliance with Client's P3O governance
  • Assist the Major Programmes team in the delivery of the Service Operation element of the Client's Capital Plan
  • Pro-actively track project deliverables against budget, cost schedule, project plan and quality plan in relation to Service Operations Division Capital expenditure.
  • Monitor and report on overhaul project costs and labour hours by analysing costs and hours against plans, ensuring that all labour and materials are captured accurately.
  • Track benefits for major programmes and projects across the Service Operations Division to help ensure that interventions meet objectives and deliver value for money
  • Lead the co-ordination of programme and project workstreams to assist delivery of Service Operations Projects.
  • Assist with the procurement and management of external advisors to support the work of the Division
  • Prepare board papers and co-ordinated monthly programme progress reports on cost, schedule, risk, issues etc. to ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place
  • Support the Division in meeting its objectives by representing for managers at meetings with external bodies
  • Ensure appropriate consideration is given to the organisations equality duties as well as specific commitments associated with your job role.
