About you

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, producing monthly management accounts, and accounting standards

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

  • Proficiency in Sage, and payroll systems like Bright HR

  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organisational abilities

  • Strong communication skills, capable of working with stakeholders at all levels

What you'll do

  • Oversee the accounts team responsible for reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and commission recording

  • Produce monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and KPI analysis

  • Collaborate on budget planning, monthly forecasting, and profitability analysis

  • Manage bank reconciliations for client and office accounts, ensuring segregation and accuracy

  • Handle payroll processing, including staff expenses, PAYE, NI, pensions, and bonus calculations

  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations related to client money accounts and produce mandated reports

  • Manage and optimise Sage and Open GI systems, supporting ad hoc financial reporting and projects

  • Participate in strategic meetings and support due diligence processes for acquisitions and investor reporting
