About you

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience

  • Extensive experience in SaaS or subscription-based business revenue recognition

  • Proven track record supporting or leading external audits

  • Strong system skills, particularly with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms

  • Leadership experience managing small teams and developing talent

  • Experience working in multi-currency, multi-entity environments, especially UK and North America

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to operate autonomously and exercise sound judgment

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process, ensuring accuracy across complex multi-currency contracts

  • Oversee the month-end close process, delivering timely, accurate management reports

  • Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

  • Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and controls

  • Develop and enhance financial policies and procedures to support scalable growth

  • Manage ERP system administration and integrations; champion the use of AI tools to improve efficiency

  • Support team development through coaching and process documentation

  • Lead tax compliance activities, including VAT, sales taxes, and R&D claims
