Financial Controller
VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with an innovative scaling business to recruit a commercially astute Financial Controller. This 15-month contract, starting in January 2025, the role will involve managing statutory responsibilities, supporting a new system implementation, and handling corporate restructuring initiatives.

The Role:
- Manage a team of three in Belfast, ensuring financial integrity and providing insights to support strategic decisions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly group consolidations and review monthly management accounts.
- Present the monthly management pack to the SLT.
- Ultimate responsibility for all statutory reporting requirements for our UK and ROI entities, ensuring compliance and managing financial reporting requirements for £10M+ turnover businesses.
- Lead and manage a team of three finance professionals in Belfast, offering mentorship and support to ensure high-quality financial output
- Support and guide the transition from SAP to Netsuite, scheduled for mid year 2025, ensuring a smooth system changeover
The Person
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a financial controller or senior finance role, ideally with experience in system implementations.
- Proven experience managing statutory compliance and audits for UK and ROI entities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Netsuite) and financial reporting software
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, and corporate restructuring processes
- Experience in group consolidation
